They were a really cool ska punky band when they first came out, then went quite commercial. Before Rock became huge mega producer, he produced a lot of Vancouver punk bands like D.O.A, Subhumans, etc.

He's sporting some pretty stylin glasses with that new wave lid...he-he....

That band (and song) were both on the Valley Girl soundtrack. It's a cool cd that also includes some Plimsouls tracks, Modern English, and Men At Work. Nicholas Cage was in the movie.

Had they had a different name, I think they would have been much more successful. I don't the label and radio in the States were too jazzed about a band named Payolya$. However, they were very popular in Canada. I never new this tune was in Valley Girl??...interesting
